She was born on born 29 April 1965. She is an Indian actress who rose to fame after doing Ramayan. She played the role of Sita. She made her debut with the film Sun meri laila (1983). She did 3 films with Rajesh Khanna. She had worked in Kannada hit film Hosa Raga(1990), one Bengali hit film Asha O Balobasha(1989) and one Tamil hit film Nangal(1992) with Prabhu. She had played supporting roles in the films such as Bhagwan Dada (1986), Doorie (1989), Kala Dhanda Goray Log (1986), Raat Ke Andhere Mein (1987) and Cheekh (1986). She was a member of Indian Lok Sabha from Baroda constituency in 1991 and was a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate. She is the wife of Hemant Topiwala, owner of Shingar Bindi and Tips and Toes cosmetics. The couple has two daughters Nidhi Topiwala & Juhi Topiwala.
