Singapore is a 1960 Indian Bollywood action, thriller film released on Jan 01, 1960. The film is directed by Shakti Samanta, produced by F. C. Mehra under banner named Eagle Films.

The movie is a suspense thriller. The most part of the movie is picturised in singapore, where a gang lead by shivdas and maria (maria manado) are after a treasure, whose map is possessed by ramesh (k.n. singh), an empolyee and friend of indian based industry. One day when ramesh was telling the stroy of treasure to shyam (shammi kapoor), the indian industrialist, he saw the shadow and hid the map in the cigratte case - wine bottle. He was kidnapped from the office . Shyam comes to check the whereabout of ramesh. The gang try to trap shyam but shyam somehow comes out of it. Shyam sorts out the way into the gang. Before that he fell in love with lata(padmini)/ elder sister of shoba (shashikala), girlfriend of ramesh, and who were also kidnapped by shivdas, who happen to be thier father. Shyam rescues lata, shobha nand ramesh find out the treasure, which was bone of contention. Shivdas died in all hustle bustle and the rest of gangsters were aressted by singapore police.

Shyam deputed his manager Ramesh t sell off his Rubber Estate in Singapore. While going through the old records Ramesh finds a map revealing that there is a huge treasure in the Rubber Estate. He immediately writes to Shyam. But to Rameshs surprise neighter Shyam replies his letters nro he comes to Singapore. . Ultimately Shyam is contracted on the phone. But the line is cut in between the talk. Failing to understand anything Shyam flies to Singapore. . In the plane he meets a Malayan beauty, Maria, who falls in love with Shyam at the very first sight. . In Singapore Shyam comes to know that Ramesh is missing since his talk on phone was abruptly cut off. Shyam desperately starts searching Ramesh - he infroms Police, taps every source which could lead him to Ramesh. In his search he meets Lata, an Indian dancer and comes to know that Latas sister Shobha is infatuated to Ramesh. Now he visits Latas place occasionally. He is treated like a member of the family by Shivdas, the uncle of Lata. . One day Lata, Shobha, Shivdas and Shyam go to the Rubber Estate for pic-nic. At the very first opportunity Shivdas steals that map leading to the treasure from Shyams bag. Shobha sees and follows Shivdas in the jungle. Shyam too follows them. . At a distance Shyam finds Shivdass deadbody in the jungle. No sooner Shyam is recouped from the shock he is attacked by the gangsters. Struggling hard he reaches back in his Rubber Estate where police is already waiting for him with the warrant of arrest on the charge of murdering Shivdas. .
