Sarkarnama is a 1998 Indian Marathi political,thriller film released on 1998. The film is directed by Sharbani Deodhar, produced by Ajay Jhankar.
The machinations and crafty dealings in the cesspool of politics is the backdrop of this movie. It moves around an on-going game of one-upmanship between the state chief minister and his strong opposition leader. The events involve to current issues so much that they start with the collapse of a large building, telling the politician-builder nexus, as well as the industrialization of a rural area and the subsequent displacement of villagers, with a large number of workers involved, including the true, anti-establishment cop and reporters.
