…boasts of great visuals and chart buster music which has been the hallmark of T Series. Even though the pace of the movie acts as deterrent at places, its target audience and the right release week (Valentine period) will see it through at the box office. Go get soaked in love. Now.

Unless you consider Himachal as your Sanam, this heartbreaking tale on sacrifice and unrequited love, loses its plot and purpose somewhere along the way, re.

To be fair with the team of Sanam Re, it’s not a bad watch. It’s not a great watch either. The film starts off on a promising note, but soon goes off the track. However, it could still be your Valentine’s movie. We know how desperately you need it!

Not a classic by any standards, but this emotional drama might catch the fancy of college-goers in search of mush this Valentine weekend.

…may be about love but disappoints greatly and is not going to appeal to lovers this Valentine’s Day, owing to its amateurish treatment and weak plot.

If you are planning to watch this movie thinking as Valentine’s special then it ‘might’ give you an emotional feel but the plot of the film isn’t enthralling as expected. Rishi Kapoor has done justice to his role though it is for a brief period of time. The lead pair Pulkit and Yami shares a great onscreen chemistry. The locales of ‘Sanam Re’ will make you go wanderlust.

Sanam Re is a total Valentine-Day spoiler with a torturous plot. Such films don’t even deserve to be viewed on TV, forget spending your hard-earned money over it.

Despite many plot twists, the two-hour duration feels too stretched and seeing the end credits of the film is the best part. You can easily ignore this ‘senseless’ love-story this weekend!

Sanam Re is a lot more matured compared to the dismal Yaariyan. The putrid vein of thought is a lot in control. On the report card, Divya manages a better grade. At least, Sanam Re isn’t idiotic. It tries to make sense and the pairing has some freshness which doesn’t translate to fantastic.

Sanam Re is a surefire cure for insomnia. Its air of somnolence is so pervasive that a yawn a minute is absolutely guaranteed.

Sanam Re is a yawn-fest from the start. Kudos to you if you survive the entire film.

The protagonists Yami Gautam and Pulkit Samrat are too shallow and one-dimensional to be likeable, the dialogue is cringeworthy.

In this schizophrenic rubbish — for it’s certainly not a script, hardly a synopsis — landscapes change faster than its cast’s wardrobe and characters suddenly appear or mysteriously vanish at the director’s whim. 

Sanam Re melts into a pool of mess faster than the snow capped hills it is set in.

Watch this film only if your intention is to break up with your partner on the most romantic day of the year!

The only good thing about Sanam Re is that it is a 120-minute movie. And… if you thought this is how a love story is suppose to be, trust me on this one, you wouldn’t want to watch anymore love stories. Sanam Re is not a love story to be watched on this Valentine’s Day.

The plot is as convoluted as they come, loaded to the brink with melodrama.

Sanam Re is a dull film with good music as its plus point. In fact, it is because of the very popular music that the film has opened reasonably well. But it does not have the strength to sustain in the cinema houses for too long and will not be able to do much at the box-office. Its medium budget on the one hand and recoveries from non-theatrical sources on the other will ensure that the producers make a profit.

In its entirety, Sanam Re is a good attempt, but loses a lot owing to slip-shod implementation, feeble stabs at humor and a slew of platitudes and avoidable caricaturish characters.

They make the two hours stretch longer. If this is sweet and cute bring me another film.

The answer to whether this prophecy is fulfilled is delivered after a torturous journey that involves Akash’s workplace tensions, a yoga camp in Alberta in Canada, and many songs in which Samrat sheds his shirt in an imitation of his self-declared hero, Salman Khan. Despite numerous plot twists, the two-hour duration feels as stretched as Samrat’s movie star ambitions. Every now and then, a song that might be better viewed on YouTube shows up to relieve the tedium.
