Story, Synopsis, Trivia, Dialogues for Prem Qaidi (1991)
The story is about how a couple gets into a relationship, but the girl’s father objects to this only because the guy is not from a rich family. The story starts with the saving of an employer Kasturi Prasad's (played by Dalip Tahil) life, Suryanath (played by Bharat Bhushan) loses his legs. Then after this, Kasturi considers Chandra Mohan (played by Harish Kumar) to work in his home. His daughter Neelima (played by Karisma Kapoor) initially teases Chandra but she soon falls in love with him. Kasturi objects to this affair and sends her men to attack Chandr. But this results in the murdering of Suryanath . Young Chandra is put behind the bars of the crime that he has not done and is sent to a youth detention center as a punishment. The head jailer now starts mentally torturing Chandra. But, center Superintendent Prabhavati (played by Rama Vij) comes to know of his emotions and love for Neelima and rescues him. Now, in the story, she tries to reunite the two lovers.
Chandramohan (Harish) is a poor boy and the son of Suryanath (Bharat Bhushan). Suryanath lost his legs while saving his employer Kasturi Prasad's (Dalip Tahil) life. In return Kasturi allows Chandru to work in his home. Kasturi's naughty daughter Neelima (Karisma Kapoor) initially teases Chandru to have fun. But soon falls in love with him. Kasturi doesn't like this and fires him from the job. His men attack him which leads to their murdering Suryanath. Unfortunately, Chandru gets trapped in the murder and is sent to reform school as a punishment.The jailor there Sushil Kumar is corrupt (Shafi Inamdar) and he tortures Chandru but the superintendent Prabhavati (Rama Vij) understands Chandru's emotions and love for Neelima. She tries helping Chandru and Neelima meet each other. But her own husband (Paresh Rawal) and son Ravi (Chakravarthy) are against her. They meet Kasturi and Ravi gets ready to marry Neelima. Will the two 'Prem Qaidi's' succeed in meeting. Will Prabhavati be able to bring her husband and son to the right path?
