Naya Kanoon is a 1965 Indian Bollywood social film released on 1965. The film is directed by R. C. Talwar, music composed by Madan Mohan.

Naya Kanoon deals with the new law passed by the parliament which says that a daughter has equal right to her father's property as the son. This story is about a brother and sister and their deep rooted relationship. Shekar(Ashok Kumar) and Jyoti(Vyjantimala) are brother and sister. Jyoti falls in love with a poet Deepak(Bharat Bhushan) who is poor. Jyoti marries Deepak against the wishes of her brother Shekhar. From here starts the journey of Jyoti's hardships and the way her relationship deteriorates with her brother due to certain misunderstandings.
