Story
While on an evening stroll, dancer Rupkumari stopped infront of a shrine. But she was not allowed to enter the shrine as she was a woman. She felt insulted and went back. Seth Hiralal was a respectable citizen. Rupkumari used to study at his place. Every evening she participated in studying and dancing. That evening Rupkumari uttered her final words to Hiralal that if the shrine doors could not be opened for her then she would leave that night. The head priest of the shrine Ganananda Maharaj was a strict person. Once Swamiji told Maharaj that public opinion always should be respected for the permission of Rupkumari's entry. After thinking a lot Maharaj granted that permission. Gnanda expelled Kishore, a rebel bramhachari, for not obeying the rules of the shrine. Rupkumari gave shelter to Kishore and from him she came to know that Maharaj's most favorite disiple is Satysundar. Rupkumari in the disguise of a bramhachari met Satyasundar and attracted him towards her. Gnanda after returning from the meeting with Swamii found Satyasundar in the company of the evil dancer. He also expelled Satyasundar like Kishore. Kishore told Rupkumari about Satyasundar. Rupkumari realised that she was in love with Satyasundar. When Rupkumari found Satyasundar he was unconcious. She took him to her residence. After long nursing she cured Satyasundar. Love was a new phenomena in Satyasundar's life. Initially though he liked the feeling but after some days he become fatigued. Rupkumari became anxious. One day Kishore committed suicide. Rupkumari started thinking that if Satyasundat did the same what would happen? She did not want the consequence for Satyasundar. So she sacrificed her love for him.
