Lokpal is a 2013 Indian Malayalam thriller, action film released on Jan 31, 2013. The film is directed by Joshi.
The story is about Nandagopal. He is a chef and he is working for a restaurant. This man also believes to live corruption free. He also attends many sessions as a Lokpal. So this story highlights his life and his way of living. Nandagopal is a very famous chef, who is known for his excellent cooking and through that, Nandoos Food Court in which he worked became the favourite place for many. He has another face than a chef. He is against corruption and the paths he took to fight against corruption were very different. He would appear at any place and at any time as Lokpal. He will reach his goals at any cost. Mohanlal will be doing the lead role of Nandagopal in Joshy's "Lokpal". The political thriller which is screen played by S.N.Swamy will be distributed in theaters by Max Lab . After the film 'Naduvaazhikal", it is after a 22 years break that the S.N.Swamy- Joshy and Mohanlal team is joining together. The film is produced by Balan Vijayan, M.Vijayakumar and S.L.Vimalkumar under the banner of Happy and Ruby Cinemas. S.L.Vimalkumar is the General Secretary of Mohanlal Fans Association. Kavya Madhavan will be doing the heroine role of Dr.Geetha. T.G.Ravi is doing a strong role of Mukundan Menon, an investigator who is against corruption. The Tamil actor Thambi Ramayya is coming in the role of a police officer. Saikumar, Manoj.K.Jayan and Krishnakumar are also doing the main roles in the film. The camera is handled by Pradeep Nair. Meera Nandan is also appearing in a main role in the film.
