Jeene Ki Raah 1969

Jeene Ki Raah is a 1969 Indian Bollywood social film released on 1969. The film is directed by L. V. Prasad, produced by L. V. Prasad under banner named Prasad Productions.

After completing his post graduation in Science, Mohan returns home to Ram Nagar, where his widowed mother, Janki, lives with his step-sister, Durga, her husband, Ramdas, and a son; a grown sister, Sudha; two younger brothers, and a sister; his wife, Shobha, and daughter, Guddi. He finds his mother and his younger siblings laboring, while the house is heavily mortgaged. He decides to re-locate to Bombay, where he meets with his friend, Dr. Manohar, and through him gets employed with Kamalrai Mansukhlal. He sends money to his family at Ram Nagar, but Durga decides to keep it all for herself, and forces the rest of the family to leave. Janki, Shobha, Guddi, and all of Mohan's siblings end up on the streets in Bombay, and after several days are able to locate Mohan, who takes them to Manohar's house and ensures that all are looked after. He also brings home a repentant Durga, Ramdas and their son, after he finds out that they were working as laborers at a construction site. The family settle down to a fairly harmonious lifestyle, which is shattered after Shobha finds out that her husband has been leading a double life, and is getting formally engaged to his employer's daughter, Radha, in exchange for two Lakh Rupees.

After completing his education, Mohan returned to his town to meet his family. And he was shocked to find that his mother, his kid brothers and sister, worked like labourers in mill and factory while his wife managed the house. On the top of it, the house has to be sold to pay off all the creditors. Mohan requested the new landlord to allow his family to stay in the house till he found a job in the city. . In the city, Mohan found it very difficult to get a job. He met friend Dr. Manohar who took him home and throughhim he got a job as the secretary of Rai Saheb Kamal Rai. But to get this job he had to pretend to be a bachelor. He had to stay with Rai Saheb for almost twenty four hours. He sent money to his mother, but Durga his step sister took away that money. When she was exposed, Mohans mother, wife and children, came to the city in his search. . Meanwhile Rai Sahebs daughter Radha, a heart patient who was confined to wheelchair returned from abroad. According to the doctor, her trouble was psychic. And Mohans sympathetic approach helped her a great deal. She was almost cured of her ailment and in the process fell in love with Mohan. . When he found his brothers on the street he took the family to Dr. Manohars house and entrusted them to Dr. Mahohars dumb brother Narendra. Mohan found it very difficult to fulfil his duty to Rai Saheb and his daughter on one hand and his family on the other. It was even more difficult for him to keep up the pretext of a bachelor. .
