Jackpot is a 2009 Indian Bengali costume drama, drama film released on Jan 23, 2009. The film is directed by Koushik Ganguly, produced by Srikant Mohta.

“Jackpot-Sapno Holo Satyi” is a reality show organized by star Ananda, where the 2 finalists Arka (from the hills) & Dodo (from Sundarban’s Sajnekhali) are given 2 separate tasks to fulfill. Dodo is given the duty of a police constable at Bhawanipur police station while Arka is given the duty of a driver. Both of them are given 3 days & 2 nights to battle out & the prize booty is fixed at Rs. 1 Crore. The one who would commit less mistakes would be adjudged the winner of Jackpot. Anchor Suman Dey becomes the host, controller and governor of the entire show. Now Dodo meets Mithu Dutta & Inspector Goldar as his co-employees & Arka meets Piu, a run away lass from the mental hospital. Mayhem begins when Piu’s elder sister & brother in law report at the Bhawanipur police station (the same where Dodo & Mithu are posted) & Arka comes to know about Piu’s problems. As both Arka & Dodo are in disguise, they use fake names to cover up their identity. Arka becomes Jackie & Dodo becomes Potla. Thus while Arka flees from vales to the hills with Piu to fulfill his job & win the money, Dodo with Goldar & Mithu start chasing them not knowing that Piu is actually with his co-contestant Arka. After a lot of hue & fuss Arka manages to take Piu to his lost love (Piu was escaping only to find her lost love Abhirup) & Dodo manages to catch up with them. In the climax both Arka & Dodo are crowned champions. Arka donates the entire Rs. 50 lakh for the medical expenses of Piu, while Dodo too donates his share of Rs. 50 lakh for the same noble cause. It’s revealed that Dodo & Arka are best friends & Dodo had persuaded Arka to participate in the show. Mithu & Dodo become love birds, while Arka devotes his concentration to the orphaned, lonely & mentally stagnated Piu.
