In this innovative Indian version of William Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet focussed by Manish Tiwary, we see the story moved to Banaras and its adjoining areas that are observer to strength unchecked by sand mafia measured by urban choice and equally forceful reprisal by Naxalite armed forces. The sand mafia is run by two influential Banarasi relatives, Kashyaps and Mishras, who are at cruel disagreement with each other. Kashyap has an 18-year old, cute and innocent daughter Bachchi from his first wife, Bachchi's character is narrated by Amyra Dastur who scripts her entrance in this movie. On the other hand, Mishra's son Rahul (Played by Prateik) is an attractive youth with expected interests for a boy of his upbringing - Girls & Weapons! Things transform when the battle-hard-bitten and pleasure-pursuing Rahul and passionate yet headstrong Bachchi fall in love.
