Hero No. 1 is a 1997 Indian Bollywood comedy film released on Feb 21, 1997. The film is directed by David Dhawan, produced by Vashu Bhagnani , music composed by Anand-Milind.
Two young Indians named Meena and Rajesh, clashes in Europe and fall in deep love and attraction with each other, promising to get wed when they return back to India. When they arrive home, Rajesh tells his daddy about Meena, and they go to meet with Meena's daddy. During this greeting, both dads get into an argument, and refuse to allow the young couple to get wed. No amount of con gets them to change their minds. Then Rajesh along with Meena's help, decides to work as a slave in Meena's household with a view of winning over her dad, and thus finding a solution to their marriage problems. Will Rajesh succeed in convincing Meena's shrewd father?
