Hemanter Pakhi is a 2003 Indian Bengali drama film released on 2003. The film is directed by Urmi Chakraborty.

Aditi is a housewife who aftertwentythree years of marriage beegins to feel the dullmonotony of her life. She feels as if she is a parrot in a gilded cage Inspired by Hemen mama she takes up a career i writing.She is introduced to a new world, new sets of friends ; her work is appreciated and she is emphatic about this new beginning. But discontent errupts in her own family as she starts enjoying her new found freedom. She creates a separate world for her self and her family feel threatenead as they find the old housewife Aditi slowly vanishing. Aditi also starts discovering her husband and children in a new light; she finds that her beloved children in the end believe in material success.Her husband's discontent lead her to let go of her dream. In the last scene the scattered pages are a syambol of her scatterd dreams which she sacrifies for the sake of her family.
