Bluesky, the animation studio behind admirably crafted films like the Ice Age series, Robots, and most notably, Rio is back with the wondrous Epic, a heartwarming film which is as emotionally stirring as it is meticulous in its production and humorous in its story-telling. Directed by Oscar-winner Chris Wedge, also one of the founders of Blue Sky, Epic tells a familiar story of a young girl ignored by her father (a man obsessed in his quest to find

A forest inhabited by tiny dwellers, an eccentric genius scientist obsessed with discovering their existence, and an estranged father-daughter relationship. Leader of the Leafmen is the battle-seasoned Ronin (Farrell)

With Epic, director Chris Wedge goes all out to paint a beautiful picture using a simple story of an estranged relationship between a father and her daughter that is set against the backdrop of a place with mystical tiny creatures. There are enough animals, quirky characters and stunning art direction to keep you dazzled. Besides the regular story, there is also a subplot of a prince, queen and a little bit of romance served on the side

Director Chris Wedge, who made the first 'Ice Age' film and the voice of Scrat seems to be chasing the illusive box office acorn because everything about Epic has the musty whiff of stale storytelling. The film chronicles a teenager (Amanda Seyfried) who moves in with her estranged mad scientist dad (Jason Sudeikis) after the death of her mother. The dad has ruined his career by being obsessed with searching for a colony of fairy-like creatures
