Dil Apna Punjabi is a 2006 Indian Punjabi film released on 2006. The film is directed by Manmohan Singh.
The story starts in the lively village of modern day Punjab. This is about a family spanning over four generations all living under one roof headed by Sardar Hardam Singh (played by Dara Singh). His family includes: his grandson, Kanwal (played by Harbhajan Mann) is a man of his heart. He is the one who spends most of his time with his friends. When Kanwal when meets college friend Ladi (played by Neeru Bajwa) at relative Faujan's (played by Amar Noorie). He immediately falls in love with her. Faujan tries to make this marriage as arrange marriage. But, the girl's family is not satisfied with this guy's approach as he is unemployed. When a talented guy (played by Gurpreet Ghuggi) hears him singing, Kanwal decides to prove himself. Here he first clashes with the TV host Lisa (played by Mahek Chahal). Lisa falls for Kanwal's charm and simplicity and she starts liking him. Kanwal has to choose between fame and fortune with Lisa in the UK. But after this, he has to choose between his love and his dreams. Lisa is drawn towards Kanwal's charm and simplicity soon begins to have feelings for Kanwal.
