Diary of a Butterfly is a 2012 Indian Bollywood thriller film released on Mar 02, 2012. The film is directed by Vinod Mukhi, produced by Rakesh Sabhrwal under banner named Prince Movies.

The story is about a girl named Gul. She has many inspirations in her dreams. Gul lives in Jaipur. She goes to Mumbai to fulfill her dreams and to become a successful actress. Gul while leaving for Mumbai is given a diary by her Mom. She lives with her friend Priya. Priya is an accountant in a fashion house and Carol, who is the owner of the spa.. Gul also works for the same fashion House.

The fragrance of success imbibes in her so much that she destroys her each and every relationship. She starts using people for her own benefits. When, she reaches the top of the success she has no one to either celebrate her success neither to live for her. She has destroyed each and every relationship. Then she starts reading the notes given by her mom and the diary, she comes to know of her mistake. She then decides to correct her mistakes and also to confess sorry for the people she has hurt. But, when she sees the fake world of Mumbai, she decides to read the diary given by her mother. But, the story is further twisted with many ups and downs.
