Byathar Dan 1936

Byathar Dan is a 1936 Indian Bengali drama,family,romance film released on 1936. The film is directed by Hemchandra Gupta.

Rajat and Renuka loved each other and get married. A daughter has born to them. But Renuka belived that a love marriage always ended with a unhappiness. Rajat was introduced with Gita in his daughter's birthday party. Gita was Renuka's childhood friend. She got married in a very rich family, but her husband died soon and she became a widow. Binodini, a distant relative of Renuka, did not like the intimacy between Rajat and Gita, so she poisoned Renuka's ears against them. After this incident, misunderstanding started in their relationship. One day Rajat went to Gita's place. He found Gita proposing herself to professor Roy and also found her being refused as the Professor was a married person. Gita noticed Rajat as he was about to leave. Gita grabbed his hand and took him to the telephone to call the police. Rajat tried to get the reciever from Gita's hand but before that, she fell down and became senseless. Rajat thought that he had murdered Gita. So he fled away along with his wife and his daughter to his village home. But Rajat did not know that who will they survive. Gita came to know that due to her the happy family of Rajat and Renuka was broken. So she called Professor Roy and requested him to find them out by any means. But they were not to be found. After some time Gita died, but before her death she willed her half property to Renuka and the rest she donated to a local hospital. In the mean time Rajat's daughter died of cholera. Renuka's condition was also not very good. She was takem to a hospital. Rajat became half mad. One day professor Roy identified Rajat and took him to the hospital where Renuka was admitted. But Rajat could not recognise her as he has became half mad. At last he could recognise his wife.
