Burmar Pathe 1947

Burmar Pathe is a 1947 Indian Bengali drama film released on Aug 29, 1947. The film is directed by Hiranmoy Sen, produced by Universal Film Corporation under banner named Universal Film Corporation.

Bidhan Babu had lost everything by the attack of Japanese bombers. He along his wife Bharati, friend of Paresh Nath, two sons and daughter were moving through the jungle of Assam. At last it was impossible for him to carry father his six year old ailing son Rupak Kumar. So he left his son in that jungle. After 20 years the leader Bidhan Babu he become one of the established businessman of Calcutta by setting up Rupak Chemical Works. Before 20 years the leader of the leader of the snake charmers rescued Rupak Kumar from the jungle of Assam. The wife of the leader Kamli had no children. She started bringing up Rupak, alias Jhumru. Jhumru passed M.Sc. Jhumru had a very good relationship with leader's adopted daughter Dukhia. She helps Jhumru in all his works. The leader one day died because of snake bite. Before death he told Jhumru to invent an anti-dote of snake poison. Jhumru came to town with mother Kamli. Dukhia also joined them. One day owner of Alaka Chemical Works, Harishan Kar met Jhumru. He stated researching about the anti dote of snake poison in the laboratory of Alaka Chemical. Chitra, the only daughter of Harishankar babu was charmed by the patience and knowledge of Jhumru. She tried to give her company. One day Kamli was bound to inform Jhumru his actual identity. Chitra also came to know that. She wanted to search his parents. In the mean time Jhumru had almost reached his goal. Articles on his achievement and real identity started being published in newspaper. Bidhan Babu and Bharati reading this articles came to Jhumru. But he refused to go back home. He said that he won't go back before he invents that anti-dote. One day at last he invented the medicine. On one hand he held a poisonous snake and n the other hand he had the antidote. But old Chemist of Alaka Chemicals Tulsi babu changed the medicine and placed poison. Dukhia jumped in and drunk the poison herself. Dukhia was doed but Rupak's life was saved and the conspiracy of Tulsi Babu was revealed.
