Story
The film which is a social drama is about the central character Pakhi whose family is in dire straits. Her father was never of much use, elder brother is selfish, younger brother is an alcoholic and the youngest sister is about to appear for her H.S.The need for money is immense and Pakhi decides to do something about it .She becomes a sex worker after she comes in contact with a pimp one day. Then starts her ordeal.
It seems as if the entire society looks down on her which includes a few of her family members as well. One day she comes across Subha Ranjan Dutta, noted author who turns out to be an unique client. He is not interested in going to bed with her, but wants to listen to her life story. Thus starts Pakhi’s story. She pours her heart out to Subha.It seems as if all men in this world barring Subha wanted to use her and dump her. It includes her lecherous landlord, his son who is a ruffian, her guruji, her boyfriend too who wanted to desert her according to her as he wanted to work and settle abroad. There is a shocking twist to the tale in the end!
