Bezubaan is a 1982 Indian Bollywood drama, romance film released on Dec 24, 1982. The film is directed by Babu, produced by Pranlal Mehta. "BEZUBAAN", as the name suggests, is the story of a woman(Reena Roy) who suffers silently, society and family pressures effectively stifling any protest she might have voiced. In the process she gets blackmailed by an unscrupulous photographer (Naseeruddin Shah) who has these candid pictures of her and her lover (Raj Kiran) taken before her marriage. Naseeruddin Shah is married to Reeta Bhaduri- close friend of hers. Reenas husband (Shashi Kapoor) is a trusting, humane person who loves his wife very much and cant understand why she needs as much money as she does. . But truth will be out and even the meek turn violent under pressure. Emotions suppressed become uncontrollable.
