Asiai Sitara is a 1937 Indian Bollywood action film released on 1937. The film is directed by H. Desai, produced by Harshad.
A simple tale plainly told...but packed with fast moving incidents and actions....amazing and thrilling, alluring and entertaining. . Boys...well, they will be boys...they will play games, get cross, quarrel, came to bolws...then get revoriciled, forgive and forget and behave as if nothing has happened. . But when our story opens you see boys of blue blood playing..among them are one KISHORE, the only son and heir-apparent of MAHANAD, the king of SIAM and the other ASHOK, the nephew (sisters son) of the king. While playing the boys exchange hot words. From hot words they come to blows. Swords fting from their scabbards. Kishore and Ashok combat. Kishore rashly rushes on Ashok and gets pierced by the latters sword. . King Mahanand is summoned. He hurries to the spot to find his son dead The bereaved father loses control and rushes to kill Ashok. He is stopped by the Prime Minister and is told the cause of the quarrel, viz:- Kishore desired to assume the title of Star of Asia which was proclaimed to be conferred only on the person who would rescue. HARSHINI,the daughter of Mahananad, who was kidnapped by CHANGEZ the Emperor of Mongolia and bring the magic sandals that fly in the void. Insistance of Kishore to be addressed as Star of Asia and refusal of Ashok to do so resulted in the sad catastrophe. . After hearing what actually happened Mahanand orders that in order to expatiate the crime Ashok committed he should either kill Changez, rescue harshini and bring MAGICSANDALS or ride a donkey in shame through the city and live the life of a eunuch. Brave and daring Ashok starta on the apparently impossible errand. BUDDHU,the unique creation of God, accpmpanies him. . A sweet haunting voice wafts over the air. It is so refreshing...yet laden with sorrow. We see a sweet face. It belongs to HARSHINI, THE DAUGHTER OF MAHANAND whom the King of Mongolia has kidnapped and held captive. The tears that flow tell the rest of the tale. . Changez, the King Mongolia...comes over there. His hefty body and cruel face show of what mettle he is made. He goes near Harshini. . The expression of Harshinis face changes from one of plaintiveness to that of fury. She treats Changez bent upon possessing her shows the prowess he wields by wields by performing miracles. . There is some personality...a lady...in a hall of lotus. Her looks show that she is a Goddess. She is waving a wand: Lotuses openand out come dancing nymphs. Oh! they dance...how sprightly....how floatingly. They go up the fountain. The Goddess waves her wand. The dancing nymphs are reduced to tiny fairies. They are now dancing on the sprays of the fountain and then the Goddess makes them dance in the glass jar But the ears will not allow the eyes to test on this lovely scene. Dont you hear bewitching music? What a scene! Heavenly atmosphere... eternal music...sprightly dance! . BHAIRAV, the factotum of the Goddess. appears and informs her of the fate ot Ashok and Baddu lost in the jungle. . Our teo knights are on the errand. But poor Budduh us after all a man like you and me. He is hungry. He refuses to go forward. The Goddess and Buairav appear and create a mirage of sweet-meat mart Bhddhu is made a fool of. He is made to eat grass. He is made to turn after a dangling pot. And then even when the Goddess appears before them Buddhus wretchedness does not cease for the Goddess and Bhairav disappear with Ashok and poor Buddhu is left supended in the air. . But the friends were not to fall on evil days. The Goddess graciously brings them together..nay she even goes to the extent of giving them a MAGIC FLUTE, a eternally OOZING CUP and instructs them how to obtaint the VIRGIN SWORD and MAGIC CROWN. But Goddess warns them that the flute and the cup have magic powers so long as they spoke or told nothing but the truth. The whole world would dance to the tune of the fiute and the cup would funish whaterver edibles they desired. . But you must be unquisitive to learn who this Goddess is. Well, you should not be so much in a hurry. She is none else than Goddess BHADRESH WARI presiding Diety of King Mahanandas family. . Who goes there? That is Harshini pacing on the terrace of the tower. Look, she is praying. Why is she looking so wretches? Oh! she has jumped down. Will she survive the dangerous leap! Oh! Bhairav floats in just in time and holding her in his arms carries her up into her abode. Bhadreshwari appears and tells Harshini to kept on pampering Changez and she would meet her lover in due time. . Our friends though they find their errand promising to be easily fulfilled allow themselves to be arrested by the men of MA-MI-TSU to enable themselves to procure the Virgin Sword. . What a big Darbar! Poets, with whetted are indulging in exchange of couplets. Wine and woman a pleaty. Buddhu begins to play the mugic flute. Gee...what a sight! Everybody dancing round and round.....Ashok takes the magic swrd and ties all those present over there. . Harshini is happy. She has taken up the hint. The moment Changez comes there she cajoles him and makes love to him. Changez is flattered. . A Fort! No Guards!! Frightful Atmosphere!!! . Anyway, Ashok and Bhuddu get in. Will they take care of the flute and the sword? Because, you see this fort belongs to FOO CHIN CHOW, the guru of Changez. Our ever dear Buddhu has a brain wave. He is chocked. Then lots of figures crop up of nothing, and begin to the tune of Buddhus flute. . Foo takes to heels. But Ashok is not bent on letting things go easily. He takes out the magic sword and wields it with such a force that Foo expires leaving the magic crown for Ashok as a souvenir. Changez is in ecstasies. He orders all his people to be in gala mood and arranges all sorts of amusements and entertainments. . That magic cup! Buddu...an epicutean that he is....enamoured of it and is always eating edibles presented by it, with the result that march for Harshnis release is delayed. . Vasant Panchami arrives...On the expiry of the time limit Changez insists to marry Harshini. He even makes preparations to celebrate the marriage. . Poor Harshini! She finds herself in a fix and prays to Bhadreshwari. The Goddess appears and by her prowess shows Ashok and Buddhu entering the gates of the city. Ashok and Buddhu present themselves in the court of Changez. Changez sees his gurus crown with Ashok. Ashok for once tells a lie...poses as Guru and gives orders for the marriage. . But just then FOO CHIN CHOWs maid come up and whole show of Ashok is given away. . Seeing the tables turned, Ashok takes out his sword and Buddhu begins to play on the flute but bothe the instruments had lost their efficacy Ashok is caught. Buddhu escapes and takes rescue in a hollow tree. . Now....now let us halt here. What happens after wards will bewelder and amaze you.
