Story, Synopsis, Trivia, Dialogues for Prem Granth (1996)
Professionally educated as an advocate, someone lives a wealthy living with his mother named Parvati, and daddy named Dharam Bhushan, who lives over the town of Shripuri as an upper caste Hindu cleric. During the Dassera celebration, Somen clashes with village belle of Kajri, and falls in love with her despite of the living that she is of a much lower caste. After seeking his mother's acceptance, he goes to take Kajri to clash her, but finds out that she has left for an exotic destination. Unable to stand his daddy's bigotry and Bhagwan Shri Ram's temple being misplaced by Kedar Nath, Somen leaves house to go to the city but is not able to get Kajri out of his mind. A year after, he returns home to the same dinner. But, he is still not able to locate Kajri. When his daddy forces that he wed Kedar's girl, Somen not only neglects but leaves home to go and live with his paternal uncle named Nandlal, who carries a Dairy farm. This is where he clashes with Kajri and both rejoice their romance. Somen arrives home, convinces his mother initially to admire of Kajri, and is pleasantly amazed to find that even his daddy has given his approval. On the day of the wedding, Somen's world is turned upside down when his daddy sue Kajri of being a lady of ill repute as well as an unwed mom. The query remains: Are Bhushan's plea true, and if this is the case, will Somen take Kajri now, or will he reject her and wed Kedar's girl?
